Good News Cross Country Skiers
Temps have dropped and we are out grooming
Our Trail Conditions remain unbelievably good.
After yesterday's warm temps trail surface was moist. Last night's wind and cool temps set up the snow firmly. We are out grooming with both tiller and renovator the result is a very nice machine groomed loose granular-powder mix. We are grooming for quality over quantity today. It is a slow groom today, give us a little time and you will find our condition surprisingly good! We have 10km freshly groomed already, should have 20 km by 10 AM
Due to our remarkably deep base (18"-28") our trails easily survived the warm spell, no icy spots.
Our Village Loop is open on weekends only. There is a logging operation going on, so we have to close a portion of trail #40 mid-week. This is a temporary situation.
Grooming in progress on: Waterfall Trail, Experimental Forest Trails, East Albany brook trails, Upper Meadow, East Pasture, Lower fields, Upper and Lower Scenic and Simple Saco River trails, #22, 19a, #42 and #7. Yates Farm Trail may get groomed later today. Trails to Attitash MT Village and will be firm today.
Come find out what our skiers already know: At Bear Notch Ski Touring we work hard to provide skiers with the best conditions possible.
Due to sensible snow management Bear Notch Ski Touring always has best conditions available.
Let us make a Bear Notch Believer out of you.
