bnst conditions

                                   2/5/19

    Good News Cross Country Skiers

Our Trail Conditions remain unbelievably good.

After yesterday's warm temps trail surface was moist. Last night

Temps only dropped to freezing. It is 32 degrees right now. It is too warm to groom this AM. Luckily we groomed what needed grooming yesterday expecting to stay off it today. There will be a slight glaze early this AM, it won't last long. Then trails will ski fine, just like yesterday afternoon. Trail surface will be moist packed powder.   Due to our remarkably deep base (18"-28") we have no icy or wet spots. Come on out and enjoy a taste of great spring skiing, before winter returns.

We will survive this warm spell with no problems. Once temps drop back below freezing we will be out grooming fresh tracks and skate lanes throughout our trail system. Skiing will be good to miss, come ski the difference!

Our Village Loop is open on weekends only. There is a logging operation going on, so we have to close a portion of trail #40 mid-week. This is a temporary situation.

Ready for skiers: Waterfall Trail, Experimental Forest Trails, East Albany brook trails, Upper Meadow, East Pasture, Lower fields, Upper and Lower Scenic and Simple Saco River trails, Yates Farm Trail, #22, 19a, #42 and #7. Trails to Attitash MT Village were groomed Saturday.

Come find out what our skiers already know: At Bear Notch Ski Touring we work hard to provide skiers with the best conditions possible.

Due to sensible snow management Bear Notch Ski Touring always has best conditions available.

Let us make a Bear Notch Believer out of you.
