bnst conditions

Good News Cross Country Skiers 4/4/19

Don't put away your skis yet, at Bear Notch Ski Touring center, there is plenty of quality skiing left. Our remarkably deep base (still 18"-36") survived the warm event exceptionally well. After yesterday's warm temps and last night's cool down trails set up hard. We are grooming with renovator and tiller on our Western Trail Network today. The result is a nice machine groomed loose granular. We are grooming for quality over quality this AM. Give us a little time and you will be impressed with our trail conditions. Yates Farm Trail Network was groomed last night. Looks great but set up very firm overnight. We will lightly groom on Yates Farm again around 10 AM to tenderize the top surface. Previously groomed trails will soften very slowly today.

While some touring centers are closing, we are still fully open (45 km open-32 km groomed). We really do have a 21" to 38" base, we really are grooming daily and conditions really are exceptionally good. Don't be fooled by offers of marginal skiing at discounted rates. Come find out what you have been missing.

Due to sensible snow management Bear Notch Ski Touring always has best X-C conditions available. Come ski the difference and find out what you have been missing.

Let us make a Bear Notch Believer out of you.
