Good News Cross Country Skiers 4/16/19

We are still open and grooming! Don't put away your skis yet, at Bear Notch Ski Touring center, there is still quality spring skiing left. On our Western trail Network we have at least 15 km excellent groomed continuous skiing right out touring center's door

Our remarkably deep base (still 8"-24") has held out well through this warm spell and rain. We still have solid snow cover on our Western Trail Network. Now that snow has drained, we will be grooming fresh tracks and skate lanes on our Western Trail Network today. Grooming daily as needed on at least 15 KM this week. The result is a machine groomed loose granular trail surface in AM, Corn snow once temps rise. Spring skiing of this quality is a rarity in April. Spring is in the air, Birds are tweeting and Streams are flowing. Excellent trail conditions won't last forever. So come on out and enjoy before it is too late. (Rentals available). You will be very impressed with our trail conditions.

Grooming this week on Our Western Trail Network: East Albany Brook Trail Network, Lower Fields, Scenic and Simple Saco River Trails, Experimental Forest Trails, East Pasture, #42, #19, #19A and more.

. Surprisingly good spring skiing.  Don't Miss It!

Let us make a Bear Notch Believer out of you.
