Good news cross country skiers.
We are still open and grooming!
Groomed last night and trails have fantastic snow coverage, 10km groomed
Just got back from grooming 12:01 am, and I am happy to be sending out this report, because skiing is too good to ignore.
Snow from last storm has held out surprisingly well. We are offering an amazing groomed spring ski experience on a donation basis. Ski first and donate what you think it was worth after. Priceless
We had officially closed last Friday (4/1318). Since then this roller coaster winter gave us another surprise. We received a strange mix from last storm. First we received freezing rain and ice, then storm changed into a granular wet snow mix, ended up to be a 4"-5" gain of very dense snow. When we closed we still had, for the most part a continuous base, this new mix has made skiing unbelievable, conditions are better than when weeks ago. Trails will hold out well though the weekend (and possibly beyond). Don't let mud season get you down, grab a picnic lunch, come out a superb spring ski.
Trail surface- Fun-Firm granular in AM hours.
Wet granular snow later in day
Best skiing: Waterfall Trail, Albany Brook Trail network and Experimental Forest Trails. a Bear Notch Believer out of you
