Good news cross country skiers.
Just got back from grooming 8km of great spring skiing,no bare spots. We are offering an amazing groomed spring ski on a donation basis. Ski first and donate what you think it was worth.
I am surprised to be sending out this report, but skiing is too good to ignore. We had officially closed last Friday. Since then this roller coaster winter gave us another surprise. We received a strange mix from last storm. First we received freezing rain and ice, then storm changed into a granular wet snow mix. When we closed we still had, for the most part a continuous base, there was too much gray ice too groom. This new mix has made skiing unbelievable, conditions are better than when we closed. It will not last long. If we get rain it may be over, if we get a wintery mix it will continue. Don't let mud season get you down, come out and enjoy mother nature.
Trail surface- Loose granular in AM hours. Wet granular snow
later in day
Best skiing: Waterfall Trail, Albany Brook Trail network, Experimental Forest Trails and #42.

Let us make a Bear Notch Believer out of you
