Good news cross country skiers
Our base survived the rain. We still have decent spring skiing on some trails
We received some rain yesterday mostly light. Temps dropped fast and wet snow froze up. We went out and groomed some trails as temp's dropped last night. Trails groomed last night have a loose and frozen granular surface this AM. Trails will be fast. We will groom again this morning and expect trail surface will be loose granular. Give us a little time once temp's rise skiing will be fun. Trails have complete coverage leaving right from our base station. Snow coverage is thin at bottom of Waterfall Trail (#2) with a little gray ice but improves very quickly. Snow coverage on trails in Experimental Forest area is holding out amazingly well. Skiers are impressed with trail conditions. Spring has sprung, picnic tables are out, birds are singing, streams are flowing, don't miss it, come out and enjoy!
Spring prices $15/adult---$10/ SR---- 16 and under free
Trail surface- Loose granular in AM hours
Wet granular snow later in day
Best skiing: Waterfall Trail and Experimental Forest Trails. Lower Fields and Saco River Trails have bare spots
Come find out what our skiers know. At Bear Notch Ski Touring, we work hard to provide the best conditions possible.
Next year season passes and X-C equipment are on sale.
Let us make a Bear Notch Believer out of you
