4/17/17 15KM open - 10KM groomed
Good News Cross Country Skiers
We are still open and grooming
The sun is out, birds are singing streams are flowing, trails are groomed and it is paradise out on the trails. Come on out and enjoy!
Here's is the deal we lost a tons of snow the last couple of days. Even though our trail network is getting smaller, our snow base remains intact on part of our Western Trail Network. The lower fields have melted and trails by Saco River have thin coverage. Good news is we still have decent spring skiing on Waterfall trail to Experimental Forest Trails and Albany Brook Trails. The areas we are still grooming are a very nice spring ski. We have been offering the best spring conditions in decades and still expect to offer decent late spring conditions on a day by day basis.
Best skiing today: Waterfall Trail, Experimental Forest Trails, Albany Brook Trail Network and #19.
Very thin coverage on: #19a, Upper Saco River Trail, Pine Forest Loop Lower Fields( gone –melted)
Previously groomed (good for backcountry and snowshoeing)
East Bartlett Brook Network, Village loop Trail, #41, and # 42
Don't give up on one last ski, it will be worth it.
