Not Good News Cross Country Skiers   2/26/19

We will not be open today.

Due to sustained high winds overnight, continuing into today, coupled with very cold temps, skiing would not be worth it.

Falling branches and debris make trails little dangerous and not a quality ski. We will spend day cleaning up trails and grooming for tomorrow. Skiers can expect very nice conditions once winds diminish. See you then and have a nice day.

Our trail conditions are too good to miss. Come enjoy some excellent cross country skiing before the storm!

Since the warm and wet spell and quick freeze, we have been out grooming with both renovator and tiller daily. It has taken many hours of grooming to soften trail surface. The result is a nice machine groomed sugar granular –powder mix. It does not get much better, great kick and glide. We are grooming for quality over quantity again today. Due to our remarkably deep base (17"-27") our trails have easily survived the warm spell and rain. The moisture actually helped improve the quality of our snow. We have unbelievably good conditions at this point. Come ski the difference!

bnst conditions

                                   2/10/19

    Good News Cross Country Skiers

The wind has diminished, temps have moderated, freshly groomed trails and the sun is out. Come out and enjoy!

Our trail conditions are too good to miss.

Trail surface set up firm again last night. We have been out grooming with both renovator and tiller to soften trail surface. It takes time but, the result is a nice machine groomed loose granular. We are grooming for quality over quantity today.  40 km open- 20 freshly groomed

Skiers were amazed with our trail conditions yesterday and conditions are even better today. Due to our remarkably deep base (17"-27") our trails have easily survived the warm spell and rain. It has been a lot of work grooming but we have unbelievably good conditions for weekend. Come ski the difference!
