Good News Cross Country Skiers
Even though temps did not drop below freezing. Trails did set up slightly. We are grooming as needed on our Western network today. The result is a very nice machine groomed loose granular- wet snow mix. Though our snow base is thinning. We still have some very nice trail conditions. Skiing is too good to miss, but it will not last forever. Come out and enjoy a relaxing ski on our scenic trail network.
Groomed as needed: Waterfall Trail (#2), Experimental Forest trails (#19, #5), East Albany Brook Trails (#5, #5a,#6a). Then on to the Lower Fields to #12, #11 and#13 and the scenic and simple Saco River trails #16. #17 and #30. Yates Farm was groomed for last yesterday, thin coverage, spring conditions.
Due to concerns about the corona virus we will be closing all public indoor areas. We will no longer be preparing soups or bread. Our warming area and rental area will closed to public use. Rentals will no longer be available. Though we are grooming mostly for our season pass holders we are offering public access on a fresh air basis. We do take this virus very seriously, but believe with precautions, people can and should still enjoy outdoor sports safely. We have several picnic tables spaced out for public use. We recommend bringing a lunch and enjoy some scenic open air dining.
