Good News Cross Country Skiers
We received a net gain of 3" new snow. We are out grooming fresh tracks and skate lanes.
The new snow was wet and dense. Now that temps have dropped snow has set up very hard. We are grooming with renovator, tiller and tenderizer to soften trail surface. It takes time, most trails have to be groomed twice, some three time to create a quality trail surface. It is worth it though. The result is a loose granular- packed powder trail surface. We are grooming for quality over quantity today. We will be grooming though out the day. We are grooming on our Western trail Network first today.
The much sought after Waterfall Crossing is open.
Skiers will be amazed by our trail conditions. Come ski the difference and find out what you have been missing. Bread is baking and Soups are on.
Grooming in progress on: Waterfall trail (#2), Experimental Forest Trail (#19), East Albany Brook Trail network(#5,#5B,#22,#6), Upper Meadow(#1), Lower fields, East Pasture, Our Upper(#16, #17) and Lower(#30) Scenic Simple Saco River Trails
