We are out packing and freshly grooming our trails again today. Good news is the new snow will allow us to open more trails. Today's grooming is going very nice, powder packed powder surface. We opened our Lower Saco River Trail yesterday very scenic and simple. We are preparing to open more trails daily, this takes time. We will continue offering nice conditions for rest of Vacation week.

After yesterday's extremely warm temps and last night's cooler temps, we are out freshly grooming our trail surface. Good news is it is grooming out fine but is taking some time. There are a lot of skier and snowshoe prints that need to be erased. Give us a little time and skiing will be fine. We recommend waiting until 10 am. We have been careful too not over groom our snow when temps are warm. Our snow base is in good shape and we will continue offering nice conditions for rest of Vacation week.

With today's warm temps our trail surface has changed to a soft wet snow surface. We are careful too not over groom our snow when temps are warm. Trails are still in good shape from yesterday's grooming. Once temps drop we will out grooming again. Our snow base is in excellent shape and we will continue offering nice conditions for Christmas Vacation week.

The result is our snow base is in excellent shape and we are offering sweet conditions for Christmas Vacation week. With today's cool start our trails have a light glaze. We are out grooming off the glaze. Give us a little time, the end result is a very nice trail surface.

 With today's predicted weather pattern, Bear Notch Ski Touring Center will not be open or grooming.

Due to the fact we have not over groomed our snow this rain will drain through. We will be grooming as soon as snow drains and temps drop. Our snow base will survive this weather event and we will be offering very nice conditions for Christmas Vacation week.

We are open and grooming for the weekend!

We are grooming on a limited basis at this point, even though it is very cold today, with more snow on the way tomorrow. Sunday is predicted to be warm with chance of rain. We do not want to risk grooming the snow too hard at this point.

We are also open for rentals, season membership passes, new and used equipment sales and gift certificates for Christmas.

This new snow is going to make ski conditions even better. Don't let the wind ruin your day, at Bear Notch Ski Touring, we have excellent wind protection. It is a winter wonderland out on the trails. Come on out and enjoy!
