Good News Cross Country Skiers

Looking for surprisingly good cross country conditions? It has been a battle, but we still have them!

Our skiers are very impressed with our trail conditions

Grooming on 20 km-Trail Surface is loose granular- sugar snow mix

Scenic and Simple Saco river trails are open and groomed.

  Our base was already established and the few small snow storms along with a lot of shoveling has made ski conditions surprisingly good. We are grooming on our western trail network again today. Snow coverage in this area is still very good. First we shovel the weak spots then we groom the trail. The result is the trail surface is a loose granular, sugar snow mix and very happy skiers. Give us a little time to soften surface, then come on out and enjoy! It will be better than you expect.

 

Grooming today on: Upper and Lower Saco River Trails, Upper meadow, Waterfall Trail, Experimental Forest Trails, East Albany Brook Trails and 10 km Village Loop

50km Open - Grooming on 20 km

After yesterday’s warm temps and last night’s cool temps the trail surface is firm this AM. We are out grooming, the result is loose granular surface. Give us a little time to soften surface then come on out and enjoy!

Our base was already established and the few small snow storms and a lots of shoveling has made ski conditions sweet. We groomed extensively yesterday on our Western Trail Network. Snow coverage in this area is still very good, due today’s warm temps we will restrict our grooming, and this will help retain the snow. Come find out what our skiers already know. Even when Mother Nature is stingy with snow at Bear Notch Ski Touring Center, we work hard to provide the best skiing available.   Temps are warm, ski conditions are too good to miss.
